Dr.sc. Nusret Pllana was born on May 21, 1959, in Arbnesh, Prishtina, he is a Kosovar publicist.

Hasmdi Nusret Pllana completed primary school in his hometown, and high school and the Faculty of Economics in Pristina. He has been engaged in cultural-artistic activities for a long time. In 1984, he founded the "Hasan Prishtina" Artistic Ensemble of Pristina, which he led until 1996.

While he was attending post-graduate studies in economics in Zagreb, upon returning to Kosovo, in 1986 he was imprisoned for illegal patriotic activity and sentenced to six years severe imprisonment, of which he suffers five. 

After leaving prison, he founded the private enterprise for the production of Teuta carpets in Pristina. Meanwhile, in 1994 he was imprisoned for the second time, but this time as a member of the Governing Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Kosovo. He was a participant in the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and the first speaker of Radio "Free Kosovo". 

After returning from the war, he was the responsible editor of Radio "Free Kosovo". He was deputy minister and minister of culture of the Provisional Government of Kosovo 1999-2000.

He led the KLA Archive sector from 2002-2006. He is currently a lecturer at the "Hasan Prishtina" University of Pristina and the State University of Tetovo in Skopje and Tetovo. He completed his master's degree in Tirana, in 2005, with the subject of the Serbian Massacres in Kosovo 1989-1997. 

He received his doctorate at the University of Southeast Europe in Tetovo, on September 1, 2009, with the topic: NATO intervention in Kosovo, in the department of political sciences and public administration. In 2011, the book, NATO Intervention in Kosovo, was published in English, with the reviewers: American Ambassador William G. Walker, Prof. dr. Christopfer GLHall and Prof. Julia Norrgard.

His book The Terror of Serbian Occupier Over Albanians 1844-1999 translated into eight languages: Albanian, English, French, German, Turkish, Serbian, Japanese and Swedish, has so far been promoted in these European and world centers: Pristina, Tirana, Tetovo, Skopje, Oslo, Jovic, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Katowice, Budapest, Rome, Helsinki, Vienna, Lyon, Paris, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Singen, Nuremberg, Hechingen, Pforzheim, Hamm, Ludwigsburg, Helsingen, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Münster, Geneva, Zurich, Lugano, Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, New York, Washington, Florida, Detroit, Melbourne, Toronto, Bearry, Brussels, Berlin, Bolzano, Braunschweig, London, Münster, Düsseldorf and Montreal.

He is the editor of the book Are Angels Killed, by the author, Hanëmshahe Ilazi, 2012. His book The Terror of Serbian Occupier Over Albanians 1844-1999, has managed to enter the most popular European and world libraries, such as: the World Library of the American Congress, the Victoria World Library of Australia, the headquarters of the United Nations Organization , in the World Library of Bayern, Germany, in the Military Academy of the German Bundeswehr, in the Hague Tribunal, in the World Library of Great Britain in London, etc. For the book The Terror of Serbian Occupier Over Albanians 1844-1999, in 2013 he received recognition from the World Library of the American Congress and the World Library of Great Britain in London, in 2015. He is the author of dozens of scientific works.
